Kurt Marut, Jr., Pitcher -- "Perhaps most complete player in the area. First team All-FCIAC pick batted third. Went 6-5 overall, suffering a number of hard-luck losses. Posted a dazzling 1.37 ERA wth 72 strikeouts and nine walks. Threw a three-hitter against Westhill to get Wilton into FCIAC playoffs. Hit .328 with 5 doubles, 5 triples, 2 home runs and 10 RBIs."
Jack Palombo, Jr. Pitcher -- "Right-hander played a huge role in getting Wilton into the FCIAC playoffs, going 6-3 with a 1.84 ERA as team's No. 2 starter. Struck out 50 and walked just 16 over the season. Posted three shutouts, including big wins against Greenwich (9-0) and Stamford (6-0). Wilton's most improved player named All-FCIAC East.
Softball
Stacy Pokora, Jr., Pitcher -- "A versatile player who led Warriors into state playoffs. Went 9-11 with a 3.29 ERA. Struck out 76 and walked 64. Batted .391 with .462 on-base, 5 doubles, 22 rubns, 14 steals and 8 RBIs. A two-time all-area coach and All-FCIAC Honorable Mention."
Steph Boyles, Jr., Outfielder -- "A force at plate and in field, who batted .375 with 4 doubles, 1 home run, 17 runs and team-leading 16 RBIs. Gunned down nine baserunners. A 2-year starter and All-FCIAC 1st-teamer who made All-Area in three different sports. (volleyball, basketball and softball).
Boys Tennis
Rob Crampton, Sr., Singles -- "Opened people's eyes with his high level of play. Went 15-2 in regular season and garnered five straight wins to reach Class L finals, where he lost to Farmington's Mark Kahan, 6-0, 6-4. Advanced to State Open semifinals. Made All-FCIAC at singles."
