Drinks Americas to ship to Israel


WILTON -- Drinks Americas Holdings, a Wilton-based drinks company, announced this week that it has received the first payment to ship both vodka and sparkling vodka products to its new distributor in Israel. Drinks entered into a 15-year exclusive master distribution agreement with H. Pixel International Trade, for the sale and distribution of the company's products in Israel.

Under the agreement, H. Pixel will fill its contractual order of approximately $300,000 in Drinks Americas' products per month for the term of the agreement.


FCPRA to present Pogue with award


NORWALK -- David Pogue, personal technology columnist for The New York Times, author and television correspondent, has been named by the Fairfield County Public Relations Association (FCPRA) as the 2009 recipient of its Charter Oak Award "for integrity, fortitude and perseverance in communications."

The award will be presented at FCPRA's annual meeting at the Shore and Country Club in East Norwalk at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 25.

The cost is $40 for FCPRA members with reservations, $50 for non-members and walk-ins. Registration may be done at www.fcpra.org. The deadline for registrations and cancellations is noon on June 19. Local BNI to meet Wednesday


NORWALK -- The Norwalk Networking Chapter of BNI (Business Networking International) meets on Wednesdays in the café at 301 Merritt 7 in Norwalk. The 90-minute meeting begins at 7 a.m. Members have one-on-one networking time, pass bona-fide business referrals and hear a 10-minute presentation given by a chapter member.

Visitors are welcome. There is no charge for the meeting. Bring your business cards and your 60-second commercial about your business products and services.
