Ivy insiders to guide students' preparations for the SATs
Posted on 06/18/2009
By LAUREN MYLO Villager Staff Writer WILTON -- Getting into the top school of your choice may be easier with some help from those who have recently been through the process. That help is just what two local Ivy League college students and one recent graduate are offering as they join Ivy Insiders, a college test preparation initiative founded and run by Ivy League undergraduates. This summer, Jennifer Green, Wilton High School Class of 2005, Chip Stine, WHS Class of 2007, and Dave Walker, New Canaan High School Class of 2008, will offer two four-week courses in SAT Test Prep. Ivy Insiders boasts lower prices than other test prep companies at $699 for 36 hours. The average SAT score improvement is 254 points. Green, Stine and Walker will offer courses and private tutoring sessions in July and August at the WEPCO (Wilton Episcopal Presbyterian Corporation) complex and said there are scholarships and discount options available such as one through an affiliation with A Better Chance of Wilton. "Part of the value is I took the test less than two years ago," said Stine, who noted in addition to mentoring students through test prep, the three offer students help from someone who's recently through the process and has come out on top. The trio also recognizes students may not want to think about SAT prep as soon as classes are out for the summer, and they want to keep sessions as fun as possible. "We're really trying to finesse having a systematic structure and bringing fun to the table," said Green. Green graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pennsylvania, where Stine currently attends, and Walker attends Brown University. Green received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a minor in French. Stine is considering working towards a PPE degree -- Philosophy, Politics and Economics -- and Walker is studying in Brown's department of modern culture and media. The three are offering courses to students at Norwalk High School, Wilton High School, Staples High School and Weston High School, among others. "We're really just trying to give back to the community and people we know at our old high schools and also the broader community," said Green, 21. There will be a free SAT practice exam serving as an open house at noon June 26. For more information, visit http://www.ivyinsiders.com/enroll or visit the Facebook group: Ivy Insiders-South CT 2009.

Writing essays, speeches, reports etc. can be fairly easy. The hardest part is maintaining the proper organizational format and on not digressing from the main idea. We are automated, so that you stick to the subject and we show you what comes next, actually generating the topic and clincher statements, as well as the paragraphs of introduction and conclusion.
For example if, they give you an essay question, just turn the question into a fact and prove that fact. So, be asking you the question, they are giving you half of the answer by showing you exactly what to write about. You’re brilliant. Case closed.
www.TheEasyEssay.com is a free program that is being used from Special Education to college education, FCAT, SAT, ACT test preparation, home schooling and more.
