LoGiurato places third at Mount Snow triathlon

Contributed report Competing in his first Triathlon, Wilton High School junior Chris LoGiurato finished third in the 18-and-under category at the Mount Snow, Vt., triathlon on Aug. 8. His time of 1:20:53 placed him 36th overall. LoGiurato, a member of the WHS track team, ran an impressive 15.01 5K in the final leg of the event. LoGiurato gave high praises to his running coach, Mary Zengo, who spent countless hours helping him work on his speed and endurance this past summer. "I plan on improving my cycling performance significantly for next year's event," said an exhausted LoGiurato. Mount Snow' s Triathlon consists of a half-mile swim, a 12-mile bike ride and a 5K run.
