To the editor:
From time to time we have unexpected seats open up on Wilton's RTC, as life's circumstances change. Amongst the myriad political acitivities we are charged with, our most important role is actively seeking out fellow Wiltonians to fill our share of the 100+ volunteer positions, and vetting them to ensure that they have the best interest the Wilton community as their primary motivator.
If you are a registered Republican, interested in helping maintain the quality of life in Wilton, as well as helping those who seek elected office with the tasks of keeping in touch with their constituency, please consider joining Wilton's RTC. To do so, within the next two weeks please forward your resume, along with your request for consideration to:

Library's biggest book sale ever
To the editor:
With gratitude to so many people, the Wilton Library successfully concluded its biggest book sale ever on April 29. The success of this annual event rests with the large cast of volunteers who gave so much of their time and effort to the sale. A huge thank you goes to the loyal book sorters and pricers who worked tirelessly all year long to organize the book cellar and spent hours working during the days of the sale.
Another key group of volunteers included the cashiers, the table organizers, and door checkers who spent many hours helping during the sale. Thank you to Boy Scout Troops 20 and 125 for helping move books and assist buyers with their purchases, to the Wilton Rotary Club for their hotdog lunch on Saturday, and to Dunkin Donuts for their donation. Special thanks are extended to the custodial and library staff and to the Board of Trustees for their help and support.
This annual four day event brought hundreds of Wilton residents of all ages and friends from neighboring towns to the Library to purchase books, CD's, and videos and enjoy the spirit of community and friendship. To you, we say thank you so much. Please come back in September for the Children's Book Sale.
P. S. The book drop off bin on Godfrey Place will reopen on May 19 for gently used books for next year's sale.

Senior daycare program needs laptops
To the editor:
Since January of this year I have been volunteering at a wonderful place called My Second Home (MSH), an intergenerational adult day program that is a non-profit organization of Family Services of Westchester. MSH provides day care to about 80 adults who range in age from 50 to 101.
There is an adjoining daycare program with about 140 children at the Mount Kisco Day Care Center. The two groups have activities together on a regular basis, playing games, doing crafts and singing songs. It is the best of both worlds because MHS offers families a way to keep their aging adults home, as opposed to having to place them in a nursing home. I only whish I had known of its existence when my own mother was alive because of the stimulating and caring environment that MSH has created.
After getting to know many of the seniors over the past few months I have realized that the program that I could best bring as a volunteer is to teach these folks how to use a computer.
Several people are interested in learning to use a computer for e-mail to communicate with family. Others are interested in finding a way to learn to speak other languages. Still others are interested in writing about their lives. So having a few laptops on hand would give many an opportunity to exercise their brains. Unfortunately, there are no laptop computers at MSH for us to make use of. Hence this letter!
Because MSH is a non-profit, it depends on donations and in-kind gifts to enrich their programs. If you have a laptop we could use that you would consider offering it to My Second Home. My Second Home is located at 95 Radio Circle Drive in Mount Kisco, N.Y.
The director is Rina Bellamy and the phone number there is 914-241-0770. I am hopeful that with your help I can secure a couple of laptops to get these activities going. Please feel free to contact me by e-mail or phone!
