WILTON In past two weeks there has been four arrests made on school property, three involving narcotics and one alcohol.
"I would say this is out of the ordinary," said Wilton Police Captain Michael Lombardo.
According to police reports, on Wednesday, April 30 at 10 a.m. Ryan Hecht 18 of Fairfield allegedly purchased marijuana from a 16-year-old Wilton male on the high school grounds. Hecht was also charged with illegal possession of narcotics and possession of prescriptive narcotics without the original container.
The unidentified Wilton minor was charged with the sale of marijuana and illegal possession of marijuana.
The Hecht family did not answer a phone call seeking comment on Thursday.
Wilton High School Principal, Timothy Canty said he could not comment on the incidents, as they pertain to disciplinary matters.
In most incidents school officials call the police to the schools.
"Whatever is reported to us, we will go check it out," said Lombardo.
This Monday, May 5 police arrested two students found in possession of marijuana on school property. Two 15-year-old males from Wilton were charged with possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia at Wilton High School, according to police.
On Thursday, May 1, a 16-year-old male from Wilton and a 14-year-old male from Wilton were charged with possession of marijuana at Middlebrook School, said police. The two minors were found in possession of marijuana at Middlebrook School and were both transported to the Wilton Police Department and processed, said Wilton police.
According to police reports on Thursday, May 1 at 2:15 p.m. Peter Russo, 18 of Wilton was charged with possession of alcohol by a minor at Wilton High School, said police. Russo was found to be in possession of alcohol on the property of Wilton High School, said police.
